Desired Education
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in one of the following fields:

- Computer Science
- Web Development
- Information Technology
- Software Engineering
- Related technical discipline
- Strong PHP proficiency with modern development practices (PHP 8+)
- Expert WordPress development skills (custom themes, plugins, hooks, filters)
- Experience with MySQL database management and query optimization
- Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for front-end integration
- Familiarity with the WordPress REST API and headless WordPress concepts
Qualities
- Clean, maintainable code writer who follows WordPress coding standards
- Security-conscious with a proactive approach to vulnerability prevention
- Client-service oriented with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions
- Self-motivated and capable of managing multiple projects independently
What You'll Do
Core responsibilities
- 01Build custom WordPress themes tailored to med spa client branding and requirements
- 02Develop custom plugins and functionality to extend WordPress capabilities
- 03Implement SEO-optimized page structures with proper heading hierarchy and metadata
- 04Create responsive, mobile-first designs that perform across all devices
- 05Integrate booking and payment systems (GHL, third-party booking platforms)
- 06Optimize site speed and performance through caching, image optimization, and code efficiency
- 07Maintain and update existing WordPress sites across the client portfolio
- 08Implement schema markup and structured data for enhanced search visibility
- 09Set up staging and deployment workflows for safe, reliable releases
- 10Ensure website security through updates, hardening, and monitoring
- 11Integrate with CRM and marketing automation tools (GoHighLevel)
- 12Provide technical support and troubleshooting for WordPress sites
Compensation
Negotiable, based on experience.
